When you scan an essay for free through Viper, we’ll take your work and add it to our database. Only our team has access to this database: other plagiarism scanners (including Turnitin) cannot access this database, so you don’t have to worry about your scan showing up when you hand your work in at your university.
After you scan your document for free, and a period of at least 3 months has elapsed, we may automatically add your essay to our student database, meaning it will then be published on one of our study sites. This is to allow other students to use it as an example of how to write a good essay. Most students don’t mind offering their work as an example; after all, once submitted, they’re finished with the essay and it has no value to them.
You can read more about this in our Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and How does Viper use my essay/dissertation?
If you don’t want to have your work published to one of our external sites, you can upgrade to a premium scan. This means it will no longer be in the queue for publishing. You can read more about this in our support article: upgrading your document.
